Almas 25 CONFERENCE
The Almas 25 Conference in Târgu Mureș is an event primarily dedicated to pastors and spiritual leaders in Romania, but not only them. The purpose of the conference is to bring deliverance, equipping, and edification to all participants through sessions full of inspiration and deep teaching. We are especially excited to announce the opening of the list of special guests, with the confirmed presence of two remarkable speakers: Jeff Baker and Chris Sonksen.

Marin Bloj
ALMAS FOUNDER – FOUNDING PASTOR OF BCNG – ACCREDITED COACH
Founder Pastor of the New Generation Christian Church, established in 2001 from a clear calling and a deep vision to influence the younger generation in Romania for Christ. With extensive experience in ministry, Marin has been involved in leadership and strategic development, providing support and training for growing leaders and churches.
BCNG is a vibrant community, with approximately 350 participants across four campuses in two counties, known for its healthy culture and spiritual impact in the community.
As an accredited coach, Marin is dedicated to accompanying leaders on their journey of growth, equipping, and planting healthy churches, being a constant support in the development of Christ’s Church.
Together with his wife, Atena, and their two daughters, Sofia and Alanis, who serve with passion, Marin continues to live out and share a clear vision of dedication to Jesus and spiritual transformation.

FOUNDER OF STRĂLUCEȘTE & CO-FOUNDER OF ALMAS
Atena Bloj is the founder of the women’s conference STRĂLUCEȘTE and co-founder of ALMAS, which she leads together with her husband, Pastor Marin Bloj. Together, they have been pastoring the New Generation Christian Church for over 23 years, a vibrant community with real impact, present in four campuses across two counties in Romania.
With a clear calling from God to equip and encourage women, Atena serves through teaching, motivational messages, TV shows, videos, and live conferences, reaching the hearts of hundreds of women in Romania and the diaspora. Her voice conveys truth, passion, and hope, and her ministry continues to inspire an entire generation of leaders and people of faith.

Lead Pastor, New Life Church • Strategic Partner of BCNG
Jeff Baker is the lead pastor of New Life Church in the United States, a continually growing church that has expanded under his visionary leadership through the opening of four physical campuses and one online campus. Through his healthy and strategically focused leadership style, Jeff has cultivated an engaged and relevant community in today’s context.
He is recognized for his ability to build strong teams, implement clear vision, and support local church leaders in their growth and development process. At the ALMAS25 conference, Jeff contributes as a strategic partner, bringing his expertise in organizational leadership and strengthening the health of local churches.
Chris Sonksen
Pastor of South Hills Church • Founder of Church Boom • Strategic Partner of ALMAS
Chris Sonksen is the founding pastor of South Hills Church, a community that has grown remarkably under his leadership, expanding from a single campus to a thriving network of locations within a few years. He is known for his clear, practical, and passionate preaching style, as well as for his heart dedicated to equipping leaders.
The organization he founded, Church Boom, is a strategic partner of ALMAS in Romania, contributing to the development of a new generation of leaders through coaching, equipping, and resources relevant to the context of local churches.
With extensive experience in leadership, communication, and team mobilization, Chris is an influential voice for leaders worldwide. At ALMAS25, his contribution focuses on strategy, clarity in leadership, and building a healthy culture in churches.
Conf. Univ. Dr. Habil. Daniel G. Oprean
Pastor, Theologian, and Leadership Trainer
Associate Professor Dr. Habil. Daniel Gheorghe Oprean is the pastor of the “Cetatea” Baptist Church in Alba Iulia and the Executive Director of Langham Preaching Romania. With a solid academic background — a bachelor’s and master’s degree in theology from the Evangelical Faculty in Osijek, a doctorate from IBTS Prague and the University of Wales — and a deep calling for ministry, he combines academic theology with practical applicability in the church.
He has taught systematic theology and published relevant works in the field, such as Communion and Participation and The Perichoretic Model of the Church. His research areas include ecclesial identity and the theology of participation, with a focus on the healthy rebuilding of church life from a Trinitarian perspective.
At ALMAS25, his contribution will bring a deep and balanced perspective on the role of the church in a changing world.
MITCH IVEY
Mitch Ivey is the lead leader of Kearney Grace Church, where he has faithfully served for over 25 years. His calling is to lead, motivate, and equip people toward the freedom that Christ brings—a freedom that transforms lives, churches, and communities. With a heart for the unity of the Body of Christ, Mitch consistently invests in relationships with other pastors and leaders, promoting a Kingdom mindset and a culture of collaboration among churches. His vision is to raise up and build people who live purposefully, authentically connected to God and to one another.
At ALMAS25, Mitch brings a genuine passion to strengthen leaders and churches in Romania for a revival that brings lasting transformation.
BEAU NORMAN
Beau Norman is a lead pastor, mentor, and church planter dedicated to developing authentic leaders and spreading the Gospel in both small and large cities. At ALMAS 25, Beau brings the vision of courageous and authentic leadership, encouraging pastors and leaders to dream big and make a massive impact in the Kingdom, even when resources are limited. He challenges us to be creative, persistent, and to turn every challenge into an opportunity for growth and victory, with a strong emphasis on planting vibrant churches and deep engagement in mission.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
The Almas Conference is designed to prepare and equip pastors, church leadership team members, group leaders, missionaries, and apprentices (leaders in training).
Although families are important to us, this conference is exclusively for adults. We strive to create a distraction-free environment for all participants, and therefore, children of any age are not allowed to attend the conference, and no exceptions can be made.
Once registration is complete, the fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a future conference. If you are unable to attend, you may send another member of your team in your place.
Sponsorship is offered for senior pastors attending Almas for the first time who have registered in advance. “Sponsorship” refers exclusively to the reimbursement of transportation expenses.
